Occasions become extraordinary when celebrated out on the open sea or in a spectacular destination. That is why Lone Tree chose the 5 night Princess Cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenada Mexico as the “Employee of the Year” award for 2014.
Vicky from the Lodge at Pine Valley near Eureka, Roxanne from the Lodge at Catarina, and Maurice from the Lodge at Bainville were the 2014 recipients who cruised with CEO Jamis O’Brien and Director of Finance Chuck Elliott. These employees were voted amongst their peers as employees who exemplified the Lone Tree standard of conduct, work ethic, and fostering exceptional working relationships with both employees and guests.
Lone Tree has established this peer driven incentive program to unify and give experiences to their employees which focus on relaxation and pampering in a customized way. This years’ winners had the option to spend time at the ships spa, casino, bar, and entertainment venues during their free time. Many chose to relax poolside and enjoy the all-you-can-eat food at the various restaurants. While they all met up one night for dinner, they were given the rest of the time to simply relax and enjoy their vacation.
Lone Tree celebrates and rewards the behavior they want in their employees. They see that besides compensation, these vacation rewards drive excellent behavior and increase employee morale. We had a chance to ask each of their supervisors just why they were such deserving recipients for Employee of the Year, and here is what they said:
“Vicky portrays and lives our Lone Tree culture better than any other employee we have. She is easy to trust, respectful, fun and caring. “-Josh Rigby
”Maurice, always has a positive, can-do attitude that he passes along to his team members. He will go the extra mile for our customers and his co-workers. Maurice is truly a wonderful addition to the Lodge at Bainville team.” –Monique Smith
“Roxanne is a very dedicated employee that is always willing to go out of her way for customers and her co-workers. She is very thorough in the work she does and is always willing to listen and improve. We are lucky to have her.” -Spencer Hunsaker
Congratulations once again to all the winners. Lone Tree is looking forward to another incredible year in 2015.
