What does Lone Tree do?

We provide temporary housing, either modular or mobile, to companies working in remote locations around the globe. Once the ’camp’ is built, we provide service to the camp through outstanding catering, housekeeping, security, maintenance, administration, and medical services.

What is a man camp?

A ’man camp’ is an industry buzz term for temporary housing facilities, built quickly to accommodate employees in remote locations. It can be mobilized and moved as the need dictates. Man camps can accommodate between 50-15,000 persons. The term Man Camp may conjure up imagines of rough and tumble worker gangs and dirty tent cities, but at Lone Tree USA we provide solid security and a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and weapons.

Does Lone Tree have equipment in stock?

Typically not. Each project is different. We pride ourselves on providing a customized solution to meet our clients needs. Give us 4-6 weeks lead time and we can have the perfect solution tailored to your project.

How long does it take to set up a camp?

Much of this depends on location and climate conditions. In the past we have set up camps in as little as 4 weeks. However, other camps, because of unique challenges can take as long as 4-5 months to be built. Call us and we’ll do everything we can to meet your specific deadline.

Can Lone Tree set up a camp internationally?

Of course. Our hospitality service options are limited, but we are able to provide housing accommodations to locations around the globe.

Does Lone Tree manufacture their own structures or contract with vendors?

We pride ourselves on maintaining a network of high quality, affordable, and customer service oriented vendors. Included in that network is our award winning network of modular and trailer manufacturers.

Does Lone Tree offer financing options?

Call us with the details and we’d be happy to look at your situation. We provide lease and purchase options. Some projects are more qualified for financing than others. After reviewing the project we will give you an idea of whether financing through Lone Tree USA would be available.

Who are some of the past customers Lone Tree has served?

Schlumberger, Halliburton, GE Oil and Gas, Sanjel, Barrick Gold, U.S. Department of Defense, and others.

Why spend extra money on temporary housing as opposed to contracting a hotel in a neighboring community?

Lone Tree workforce housing is more than a solution; it is an asset for years to come. With modular or mobile housing, our clients:

  • Experience greater control over the employee environment, allowing for the maintaining of order and prevention of accidents. This results in lower lost-time issues and higher employee retention.
  • Save costs on transportation to and from the job site.
  • Enjoy the knowledge that their personnel are well fed, cared for, and managed in employee off hours. We guarantee a nutritious meal plan and provide housekeeping, security, and management. When everything at camp is provided for them, employees are able to focus solely on their work, increasing productivity.
  • Reduce complications that will arise by attempting to accommodate large numbers of employees.
  • Improve relations with the local community for years to come by investing in the local economy and establishing themselves as a vital part of it.
What sets Lone Tree apart from the rest?

Lone Tree began not as a large corporation, but as a local company out to provide the best service for our clients. We succeeded and moved our business into larger industries. We understand that needs vary by project. We are happy to fit the requirements of each project individually, giving our clients the best solution for their needs in the most cost effective way. What role does safety play at Lone Tree?

We offer well-designed facilities built with the guests in mind that enforces standards to prevent fighting, theft, or other safety problems. Often times we recommend private rooms with keyed entry to ensure the guests have their own personal space and closets to lock up valuables.

A recent CASE STUDY was provided to us by one of our clients.

A customer recently shared the benefits of safety they experience: “$1 spent on prevention yields $8 in loss avoidance.”

Formula: $1 injury/illness costs = $5 costs of property damage (i.e. tools, building and product damage, legal expense) + $3 uninsured miscellaneous costs (i.e. investigation time, training replacements, rework, etc.).

In short, Lone Tree strives to use the safest practices for everything we do. Safety is incorporated into everything we do. It pays to be safe.

Does building a man camp increase employee production?

It depends on the goals of the client project. On every single project we done so far the answer is Yes.

Here’s what we found with a recent Case Study:

In one recent project we helped our client experience drastic savings compared to current operations. They cut the commute time of their employees from 4 hours per day to 1 hour per day by building a camp closer to their work site. They anticipate a 20% increase in production for 16 hour shifts. For 300 people over the course of this particular project, it means a 20% increase in production which could total over $200 M in savings on a $1B project.
